Research Methodology prepares Electronics Engineering Technology students to design and write a scientific research proposal in preparation for their Final Project, covering research methodology and ethics, identifying engineering problems to formulate a background, problem statement, objectives, and scope, searching and synthesizing scientific literature using reference managers such as Mendeley/Zotero, determining engineering problem-solving methods from needs identification through design, implementation, testing, and evaluation, formulating functional/non-functional requirements and system block diagrams, distinguishing qualitative and quantitative research designs, and presenting and discussing data using appropriate statistical techniques — culminating in an Abstract, Chapters 1–3 (Introduction, Literature Review, and Methodology), and an IEEE-style bibliography presented as a prerequisite for proposing a Final Project topic.
