This course introduces the fundamental concepts and practical applications of Machine Vision, a technology that integrates imaging systems and computational methods to interpret visual data for decision-making. Topics include digital image acquisition and representation, camera calibration, color models, image filtering, morphological operations, feature extraction, image classification using machine learning and deep learning, as well as object detection techniques (e.g., CNN, R-CNN, and YOLO). Students will gain both theoretical knowledge and hands-on experience in applying computer vision algorithms to real-world problems.
